I Love You
This is for my grandma. She's always telling me to speak my language and to speak English outside, but in the house it is otherwise. Her words are almost always the same. "You are Vietnamese, but why do you speak English? In the house speak Vietnamese." She's so small and fragile, she shuffles when she walks it's so cute.
When she speaks to you, she holds your hand and stares you right in the eye, just close enough to see every wrinkle on her face and every strand of grey hair.
Just turned 84 on January 15th, this is for you, one of my first photographs and definitely one of my favourites. Happy Belated Birthday, I love you.

Beauty
These are tips that everyone (who use make up) should know.. there's quite a bit
( I got this off You Tube, I'm not pro at make-up YET)
1. To know whether you are cool toned or warm toned, look at the veins on your wrists. If they are blue, you are cool. If they are greenish you are warm toned.
2. If you want larger subtle eyes, apply your first coat of mascara and on your second coat on apply on your upper eyelashes.
3. If you’re applying eye make-up and you mess up, simply take a Q-tip and dip it into a little moisturizer and wipe off.
4. When you wake up in the morning to cleanse your face remember to splash your face with cold water for like ten seconds so ”sweat glands will flow to your face” which is great for your skin. Then after take a warm facial sponge and press/pat your face to open pores ready to absorb maximum moisturizer.
5. Chapped lips? Take your old toothbrush and put a little Vaseline on it and exfoliate the dead skin cells off your lips in a circular motion.
6. If you have a long face, only apply blush on the apples of your face, not your temples. If you have a wide face, fan the brush upwards.
7. Your eyebrows frame your entire face, if you want a slimmer face; then arch your eyebrows. If you want a younger face then have them thicker.
8. If you want to look younger, then while applying blush, apply higher to give you a facelift.
9. Apply moisturizer while your face is still moist or damp from cleansing or toning, so the skin can absorb the moisturizer to the maximum.
10. If you a set of eyes that are very near to one another, emphasize eye make-up and outer edges.
11. If you have a wide set of eyes that are far from one another, emphasize less on the outer edges and more on your inner corners, such as applying eyeliner.
12. To conceal fine lines, use a light reflecting concealer. This will reflect light away from your eyes.
13. For fuller lips apply your lip gloss in a downward motion to get a 3D effect.
14. Forgot your blush? Use your lipstick instead and use your fingertips to apply the colour.
15. Forgot your foundation? Mix some of your mineral powder into your moisturizer.
16. To fix a torn nail, simply snip a little segment off a tea bag, layer it over your nail and apply clear nail polish.
17. If you tend to get acne on one side of your face, it’s probably because of your phone. So clean your phone frequently and change your pillow cases.
18. If you have dark circles, cut two slices of kiwi and layer it over your eye. This also sooths and decreases puffiness as well.
19. Use a larger powder brush to buff your face up after applying make-up to your face does not look too shiny or too powdery.
20. To make your nail colour last longer, simply buff them first or dip them into vinegar so the nail varnish will appear better.
21. If your eyes look tired, use a white eyeliner pencil and rim your waterline, if this looks too harsh, use a skin colored eyeliner pencil instead.
22. “Apply chilled, natural yogurt on your face for about 10 to 30 minutes. It sooths, freshens, absorbs excess oils, fights bacteria and helps pores look smaller. It solves any skin problem,” says Bubzbeauty.
23. Spots are swelling and redness. Eye drops can help these problems.
24. When your skin looks dull, apply lotion with a pink undertone to give yourself instant radiance. Apply on your cheekbones to make your eyes and cheekbones to stand out.
25. Eggs are fantastic treatments for the skin. Mix the egg whites until frothy and apply on your skin to tighten pores and absorb excess oil. The egg yolk is fantastic face softener and a great hair conditioner.
26. Olive oil is not only a fantastic make-up remover but also great for the skin. It is anti-aging and makes a soothing and softening. It is also a great hair conditioner and repairs weak ends. You can also dip your nails in olive oil for about 10 minutes to get stronger and shiner nails.
27. Pollution can affect our skin and especially if you work in an offices, near fax machines, and paints. Well, having a plant in your office or bedroom, like a cactus, can help soak up toxins and help your skin.
28. Remember to exfoliate twice a week to remove dead skin cells. This way your moisturizer can absorb better and masks will work better.
29. When your make-up is looking a little bit too cakey, just spray on some water on your face, than press your skin to remove the cakey-ness.
30. Wearing rosy lipsticks will make your teeth appear whiter.
